In August 2025, we organized the youth exchange Art-i-Fy: Expressing Creativity with AI, which brought together young people from Bulgaria, Turkey, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Hungary, and Poland. Our goal was to show them that artificial intelligence can be not only a practical tool for everyday life but also a means for creativity and self-expression.

Through the use of non-formal educational methods, participants had the opportunity to explore how to recognize and interpret their emotions and transform them into the foundation for creative expression. They became familiar with a wide range of AI tools for creating visual and written content, music, videos, and storytelling, gradually developing the ability to use technology not just as a functional resource but as a medium for artistic and personal expression.

A strong focus during the exchange was placed on critical thinking and the ability to distinguish between AI-generated and human-created content—skills that are becoming increasingly important in today’s digital environment and information flow.

One of the most impactful sessions for the participants was dedicated to emotions—their awareness, understanding, and creative transformation. This approach inspired personal engagement and creativity, resulting in original artistic products created with the help of artificial intelligence, reflecting both the individual and collective creative potential of the group.

All of these works can now be explored here:

As a result of the Art-i-Fy: Expressing Creativity with AI project, we created a practical handbook for teachers and youth workers. It offers ready-to-use non-formal educational activities that help young people explore AI tools for writing, image creation, music, video, and storytelling. The handbook includes step-by-step methods, showing how artificial intelligence can be used not only for everyday tasks but also for self-expression, collaboration, and critical thinking.
