During the period 18–26 April 2026, Can You Association was the coordinator and host of the international youth exchange Creative Expression AI Lab – Connecting Cultures, Creating Together, implemented under the Erasmus+ Programme.
The project brought together young people from different countries with one common goal – to explore how artificial intelligence can be used not only as a technological tool, but also as a means of self-expression, personal development, and creative work.

AI as a Space for Creativity and Self-Discovery
The main focus of the youth exchange was the use of AI and digital tools for developing creativity, emotional intelligence, critical thinking, and the active participation of young people in society.

During the programme, participants took part in various interactive and practical activities, including:

• creating personal stories and reflections with the help of AI
• visualizing emotions through digital art
• self-reflection and personal development exercises
• digital storytelling
• working with accessible AI tools for content creation
• analysis of AI-generated content and critical thinking
• sharing cultural perspectives and personal experiences

From an Idea to a Personal Artistic Project
One of the most inspiring parts of the project was the opportunity for participants to use AI as a tool to create their own artistic products.
Each participant had the chance to work on a personal creative idea connected to their identity, values, dreams, and personal story. The theme “Best Possible Self” helped participants reflect on their own development and use AI creative tools to express their vision for the future.

Learning Through Experience
The project was entirely based on non-formal education methods – learning by doing, group work, discussions, role-playing, creative tasks, and practical experiments.
Participants not only learned more about AI tools, but also developed important skills such as:

• communication and teamwork
• critical thinking
• digital literacy
• confidence in self-expression
• intercultural understanding
• social and emotional awareness

Why This Project Was Important
In a world where technology is developing faster and faster, it is important for young people not only to use AI, but also to understand it critically and turn it into a tool for creating meaningful content.
The project showed that when we combine technology, creativity, and a safe space for expression, real opportunities for growth, connection, and inspiration are created.
AI is not just technology.
Sometimes, it is a new way to tell your story.
