EmpowerHER

Erasmus+ Small-scale Partnerships in Adult Education

Project Title: EmpowerHER

Project Number: 2024-2-BG01-KA210-ADU-000291432

Start Date: 29 August 2025

Duration: 18 months

Coordinating Organisation: Can You Association (Bulgaria)

Can You Association is pleased to announce the launch of the EmpowerHER project, implemented with the financial support of the Erasmus+ KA210 – Small-scale Partnerships in Adult Education programme. The project is carried out in partnership with two international organisations: IASIS NGO from Greece and DAISY – Digital Active Innovative Social Youth from Turkey.

► Project Objective

EmpowerHER aims to provide women from vulnerable groups—especially those living in remote or less developed regions—with access to information, support, and opportunities for personal and professional development. The project promotes women’s empowerment through educational resources, mentoring relationships, and participation in active communities.

► What Will the Project Achieve?

The project operates on multiple levels to ensure sustainability and meaningful impact. Key activities include:

  • Development of a resource package for organisations seeking to create or enhance mentoring programmes aimed at women from vulnerable communities
  • Creation of tools and materials for mentors and mentees to support learning processes, collaboration, and personal development
  • Providing access to inspiring mentors and female leaders who share real-life experience and good practices
  • Supporting self-development and the creation of peer support networks among participants
  • Organisation of a four-day good practices exchange workshop in Greece involving all partner organisations
  • Development of assessment tools for mentees’ needs and mentors’ competencies
  • Creation of the EmpowerHER Mentorship Guidance Kit – a practical guide for mentoring programmes adapted to local contexts
  • Organisation of local multiplier events to disseminate results and engage local communities

► Who Is the Project For?

EmpowerHER targets:

  • Women who are unemployed or socially vulnerable and seek support for professional development, starting their own business, or building self-confidence
  • Mentors, NGO activists, and business leaders willing to contribute to the empowerment of women in local communities
  • Organisations that need a structured approach to developing and sustaining effective mentoring programmes

► Why EmpowerHER?

Because we believe that every woman has the potential to be a leader in her own life. Empowerment begins with access to knowledge and community support. Economic independence, self-confidence, and connections with inspiring role models are key steps toward full participation in society.

The EmpowerHER project will provide not only tools and resources, but also a supportive environment in which women can grow, be inspired, and create real, long-term change in their own lives and in the lives of their communities.

Partner Meeting of the EmpowerHER Project in Sofia

In December 2025, the kick-off partner meeting of the EmpowerHER project took place in Sofia, Bulgaria. The project is implemented with the support of the Erasmus+ KA210 – Small-scale Partnerships in Adult Education programme. Representatives of all three partner organisations participated in the meeting: Can You Association (Bulgaria), IASIS NGO (Greece), and DAISY – Digital Active Innovative Social Youth (Turkey).

During the two-day meeting, the partners:

  • Presented the main project objectives, activities, and expected results
  • Discussed a detailed work plan, distribution of responsibilities, and key deadlines
  • Reviewed mechanisms for internal communication, risk management, and quality assurance
  • Clarified reporting procedures and coordination with the National Agency
  • Held structured working sessions and agreed on the next steps for project implementation

The meeting established a clear organisational framework and ensured a strong start to the joint work. A shared understanding of the project goals and the necessary actions for their achievement was reached.

The project is implemented with the financial support of the European Union under the Erasmus+ programme.
