►► What is the project about?
In January 2025, the Association “Ti Mozhesh Li” launched a new project under the European Solidarity Corps – “Youth Peace Ambassadors.” Over the course of 12 months, young people from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds will be supported to become active ambassadors of peace, dialogue, and solidarity within their local communities.

The project focuses on training, mentoring, and youth-led local initiatives. The goal is not just to talk about change but to achieve it through real actions – workshops, public events, discussions, and the creation of youth clubs.

Special attention is given to young people from Roma and other minority backgrounds, as well as to issues often neglected – social isolation, prejudice, and lack of opportunities outside the big cities.

►► Main activities:
  1. Two 2-day training sessions led by experienced facilitators, focusing on:
  • Peaceful coexistence and conflict resolution
  • Intercultural communication
  • Civic engagement and leadership skillс
2. Mentoring support for the development and implementation of local initiatives
3. Active communication through social media, digital materials, and video content
4. Building a network of youth clubs that will continue their activities beyond the project

►► Target group:
  • Young people aged 18 to 30
  • Living in underdeveloped and remote areas around Sofia (such as Elin Pelin, Chepinci, Negovan, etc.)
  • Special focus on youth with fewer opportunities – including those from Roma, ethnic minority, and socially vulnerable groups

►► Priorities and thematic areas:
  • Development of local communities
  • Prevention of racism, discrimination, and stereotypes
  • Inclusion of youth from rural and isolated areas

►► Sustainability and Impact

The project aims not only at short-term change but at long-lasting impact.
Planned sustainable results include:
  • Establishing a network of youth peace clubs
  • Support for youth initiatives through logistical and mentoring assistance
  • Engaging local authorities and institutions as allies in the change process
  • Long-term online presence through accessible resources, campaigns, and video content
