TRUTH (AND/OR) FAKE: breaking stereotypes - Youth Exchange

"TRUTH (AND/OR) FAKE: breaking stereotypes" - Youth exchange funded by the European Union was held in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, 18.11 - 25.11 2023.

The project involved participants from Italy, Turkiye, Ukraine, the Republic of Moldova, Hungary and Bulgaria and aimed to empower young people to challenge misinformation, stereotypes and prejudice.

The adventure took the form of dynamic activities and cultural exchanges promoting critical thinking, media literacy and internet protection. From fact-checking to role-playing, each day brought new insights and connections.

The goals of the project were achieved through informal learning methods, upskilling youth and creating a community of people who support each other. The project aimed to improve the skills of the youth sector organisations by inspiring innovative ways of working with young people.

The discussions, games and knowledge sharing enriched our understanding of media literacy and digital safety. Through group activities, we practiced effective communication, built relationships and honed our critical thinking skills.

By the end of the project, we took home not only memories, but also valuable skills to counter misinformation, promote tolerance, and contribute to a cleaner digital culture.

Grateful for the different perspectives and friendships made, we look forward to applying the knowledge gained in our communities. Until the next adventure!
